Cabbage Soup

Ingredients to make Cabbage Soup

  • Cabbage 1
  • Carrot 2
  • French beans 8-10
  • Onion 1
  • Garlic 3-4
  • Cinnamon Stick 1
  • Cloves 4
  • Black Pepper 8-10
  • Bay leaf 1
  • Salt according to taste
  • Oil or butter 2 tablespoon
  • Milk 1 cup
  • Cream ( for garnishing )
  • Coriander leaves (for garnishing )

How to make Cabbage Soup

  1. Pour 1 tablespoon oil in a non-stick pan to heat.
  2. Heat the oil and add cinnamon stick, cloves and black pepper in it. Cook until it makes a crackling sound.
  3. Next add the chopped garlic and onion and saute until it turns light brown in colour.
  4. Add the chopped cabbage in the pan, saute it then pour 1 cup of water in it and cover it with a lid.
  5. After 5 minutes, grind this into a puree form.
  6. Take another pan, saute the chopped carrots , french Beans and cabbage in oil with bay leaf.
  7. Now add the grinded cabbage puree in the pan. Boil it for 1 minute.
  8. Add salt in it , then add luke warm milk and it heat on a low flame. Mix it well and turn off the stove.
  9. Now serve it in a bowl and garnish it with cream and coriander leaves.
