You may think upma is very easy to prepare why use pressure cooker for this recipe?The advantage of using pressure cooker for this recipe is you dont need to baby sit and can be done in 5 min without any monitoring.the color and texture is amazing.you got to try it once to belive it.The recipe i followed is inspired by opos chef.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Onion 1 small
  2. Carrot 1
  3. Beans handfull
  4. Peas handfull
  5. Curry leaf
  6. Hing
  7. Salt 1tsp
  8. Water 1 cup
  9. Vermicelli 1 cup thick, roasted
  10. Oil 1 tbs

Instructions

  1. In 2l or small cooker (max 5l )add 1tbs oil and 1tbs water to prevent burning mix.
  2. Add 1/2 cup chopped onion do not mix or fry just add.
  3. Add carrots,beans,leans or any veggies of choice on top of onion do not mix.
  4. Ginger,green chilli,curry leaf salt just add no need to mix.
  5. Add 1cup thick roasted semia and 1 cup water on sides .
  6. Cook on high heat for 1 whistle or 5 min
  7. Release pressure open and add tadka.
