A wonderful chicken shawarma that is simple and consists of the classic shawarma flavours.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 8 skinless, boneless chicken thighs
  • For the marinade:
  • Hung curd – 100 gm
  • All spice powder - 2 gm
  • Garam masala powder - 3 gm
  • Chilly powder - 3 gm
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric powder – 3 gm
  • Cumin powder – 3 gm
  • Coriander powder – 3 gm
  • For the Sauce:
  • Mayonnaise - 50 gm
  • Yogurt - 50 gm
  • Garlic - 20 gm
  • Olive oil – 10 gm
  • Parsley cop - 5 gm
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For plating:
  • Thinly sliced tomatoes – 65 gm
  • Iceberg lettuce shredded – 100 gm
  • Hummus - 50 gm
  • Pickled Onion 50 gm
  • Khubus Bread

Recipe Preparation

  1. Cut chicken into thin long slices and marinate for 4 hours.
  2. Pan sear the chicken on both sides till nice and brown and then finish cooking in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 8 minutes.
  3. Heat the khubus bread on both sides till nice and hot. Apply a tablespoon of hummus, some lettuce and then add 100 gm of chicken.
  4. Put some sauce, pickle onion, tomato and some more sauce. Close the wrap and serve hot.
