Paneer Butter Masala

Ingredients to make Paneer Butter Masala

  • 2 big tomatoes
  • 8-10 cashewnuts
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  • 250 gms paneer diced
  • 1 small cinnamon stick
  • 2 dry red chilli
  • 1/2 cup amul fresh cream
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 inch ginger
  • 2 green chilli
  • 5 medium sized onions
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Butter as required
  • Salt to taste

How to make Paneer Butter Masala

  1. Put the tomatoes, onions, cashewnuts, green chillies, garlic and ginger in a mixi jar. Make a fine puree.
  2. Heat butter in a pan, add the cinnamon stick and red chillies to it. Add the puree and cook for a while.
  3. After a few minutes add red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and some water if you do not want a very thick gravy.
  4. Add the paneer cubes, salt and fresh cream and mix well till the paneer gets coated well with the gravy.
  5. Paneer butter masala is ready to served.
