Shahi matar paneer

Ingredients to make Shahi matar paneer

  • 250 gms paneer
  • 1 bowl of green peas
  • 1 big sized onion
  • 1 medium sized tomato
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 12-13 pieces of cashewnuts
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 tsp dried coriander
  • 4 cloves
  • 1/4 spoon turmeric powder
  • 1 big cardamom
  • 2 green cardamom
  • Salt (acc to taste)
  • 1 cup milk
  • Refined oil/ desi ghee 4 tbsp
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin
  • Little water (as much you like for the gravy consistency)

How to make Shahi matar paneer

  1. Heat ghee/refined oil in a kadhai. Put in the paneer and fry. Then keep the paneer and peas aside.
  2. Now put in all the spices, onion, tomato, garlic, ginger,milk, cashews, salt in a grinder and make a paste out of it.
  3. Put this paste into the remaining oil in the kadhai and roast till the oil separates itself.
  4. Pour in water and then put in the peas, cook this gravy for 10 mins. Next, put in the paneer, cover and cook it for 3-5 mins covered.
  5. Serve hot with your desired bread.
