A delicious kachori made with a filling of bathua leaves.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. All purpose flour / maida - 1 cup
  2. Carom seeds - a pinch
  3. Onion seeds - a pinch
  4. Salt - to taste
  5. Clarified butter - 2 tbsp
  6. Oil - for frying
  7. For stuffing
  8. Boiled n mashed bathua leaves - 500 gms
  9. Finely chopped green chilly - 2
  10. Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
  11. Asafoetida / hing - a pinch
  12. Ginger paste - 1 tsp
  13. Salt - to taste

Instructions

  1. Clean & wash bathua leaves.
  2. Boil in the pressure cooker.
  3. Once cooled strain n mash it.
  4. Add salt,green chilly,red chilly powder asafoetida,ginger paste and mix well.
  5. Now stuffing is ready
  6. Take a large bowl add all purpose flour,clarified butter,salt,carom seeds and onion seeds and mix well.
  7. With the help of water make a soft dough.
  8. Keep aside for 30 mins.
  9. Divide the dough into equal size balls.
  10. Stuff the filling in the dough and roll into balls.
  11. In a pan heat the oil and add the kachori,lower the heat and fry till light brown.
  12. Serve hot.
