Gujrati Sambharo

Ingredients to make Gujrati Sambharo

  • 500 grams of chopped green cabbage,
  • 1 cup Carrots cut into julians,
  • 1 cup Peas,
  • 4-5 Green chillies slit into two,
  • 1-1/2 tsp Turmeric powder,
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds,,
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Asafoetida powder
  • 1 Lemon
  • Oil to fry & salt to taste.

How to make Gujrati Sambharo

  1. In a frying pan, add oil and when hot, crackle the mustard seeds and asafeotida powder, now add green chillies and fry for few seconds. Add in the peas and carrot and let it fry for 5 minutes.
  2. Once you smell the flavor, add in the chopped cabbage (make sure you wash the cabbage thoroughly in water), turmeric powder, sugar & salt.
  3. Give a stir mix and let it cook for 20 minutes or till you see the cabbage nice translucent. Now put off the gas & squeeze in the lemon into it and mix well.
  4. Serve it hot with paratha or roti.
My Tip: Add lemon juice
