About Vada Pav Recipe

This tasty dish is my mother's recipe.

Vada Pav

Ingredients to make Vada Pav

  • Boiled potatoes 5-6
  • Handful of peas or peanut (optional)
  • lemon juice 1 tsp
  • salt as per taste
  • red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • haldi 1 tsp
  • Garam masala 1 tsp
  • onions chopped 2
  • Few curry leaves

How to make Vada Pav

  1. Mash the potatoes nicely and keep aside. In a pan, take oil add the chopped onions, curry leaves, and fry it nicely. Then add salt, haldi, red chilli powder, garam masala, and the mashed potatoes. Mix it nicely and add the lemon juice. Cook for a while then let it cool down.
  2. Once the batter cools down, make balls of it and keep aside. In a separate bowl, mix the besan with salt in it.
  3. Dip these balls into the batter and fry it nicely in a low flame.
  4. Serve these hot batata vadas with chutney or roasted green chilli and Pavs.
