Lababdar Chicken Burger

Ingredients to make Lababdar Chicken Burger

  • Boneless chicken Cubes 500 grms
  • green chillies 2
  • coriander leaves 2 tbsp (chopped)
  • ginger paste 1/2 tsp
  • garlic paste 1/2 tsp
  • chicken Tandoori Masala 1/2 tsp
  • cumin powder 1/4 tsp
  • Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp
  • salt 1 tsp
  • lemon juice 1 tbsp
  • Breadcrums 3 tbsp
  • egg 1/2
  • Conflour 1 tbsp
  • Burger Buns 8
  • Lettuce Leaves 16
  • onion 1 (cut into slices)
  • cucumber 1 (cut into slices)
  • Tomatoe 1 (cut into slices)
  • Cheese Slices 8
  • Mayonnaise Burger Sauce 1 cup

How to make Lababdar Chicken Burger

  1. Clean and dry the pieces of chicken with kitchen towels to get rid of any excess moisture.
  2. Add the green chillies, coriander, tandoori powder, cumin powder, garlic paste, ginger paste, lemon juice, black pepper and salt to the chicken cubes.
  3. Put them all in a processor and process until smooth. Turn the mixture out into a bowl. Add the lightly beaten half egg and breadcrumbs. Mix well. If the mixture feels sticky, sprinkle the cornflour and mix.
  4. Cover and refrigerate the mixture for about an hour to make it easier to handle and shape. When ready to grill or fry the burgers, lightly grease your hands and divide the mixture into 6-8 portions depending on the size you want them. Shape them into patties.
  5. Heat a small amount of oil in a frying pan and shallow fry the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side on medium heat. Alternatively, you can grill the patties in the oven or on the bbq grill for the same amount of time.
  6. Serve on toasted burger buns with a lettuce leaf, some onion slices, sliced tomato, sliced cucumber, a slice of cheese , a tbsp full of mayonnaise burger sauce.
  7. Serve with fries and a cold drink. Enjoy :)
