ABOUT Oats and Chicken Hareesa.... RECIPE

Harees or Harissa or Daleem is a versatile dish that can be served in any party, get togethers or weddings. It is basically a Middle Eastern dish with boiled, cracked or broken wheat and mutton or chicken. Using oats is a much quicker version of this. Eating it also differs in many parts. It is eaten on it's own as a porridge or is eaten with bread in other countries. It is an all time comfort food for me and my family. There is nothing better than a steaming hot plate of Hareesa garnished generously with fried onions and a dash of lemon and fried cashews.
