Ingredients to make Bharwan Bhindi

  • 250 gms okra
  • 2 onions
  • 10 garlic pods
  • 1 tsp ajwain
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp red chilli powder
  • Garam masala 2 tsp
  • amchur powder 2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • mustard oil 2 tbsp

How to make Bharwan Bhindi

  1. WASH, DRY 250 GMS OKRA
  2. CUT OFF THE CROWN & TAIL
  3. SLIT FROM THE MIDDLE
  4. ADD 1 TSP GARLIC PASTE, 1 TBSP CORIANDER POWDER, 1 TSP EACH OF TURMERIC & CAROM INTO 2 GRATED ONIONS
  5. ADD 1 TSP GARAM MASALA, 2 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER, SALT, 1/4 TSP ASAFOETIDA
  6. ADD 2 TSP AMCHUR POWDER, MIX
  7. STUFF MASALA INTO THE SLIT OKRA
  8. PRESS IT IN
  9. HEAT 2 TBSP MUSTARD OIL, DROP THESE IN OIL
  10. COVER & COOK ON LOW HEAT TILL SOFT
  11. STIR FOR 1-2 MINS ON HIGH HEAT
  12. GARNISH WITH FRESH CORIANDER, SERVE HOT
