One Pot Rasam

Ingredients to make One Pot Rasam

  • tamarind solution with salt to taste -2 cups, soak and make with a lemon size tamarind pulp.
  • oil - 1 tbsp
  • Mustard1/2 tsp& 1/4 tso fenugreek tsp
  • Dried red chilli -1- 2
  • curry leaves -1 arc
  • Crushed garlic -5 cloves
  • Crushed green chilli -1
  • Rasam powder -2 tsp
  • turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
  • asafoetida - 2 pinch
  • Chopped coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
  • salt - to taste.
  • curry leaves -1 arc

How to make One Pot Rasam

  1. HEAT 1 TBSP OIL, ADD 1/2 TSP MUSTARD & 1/4 TSP FENUGREEK SEEDS, 1-2 DRY RED CHILLIES
  2. ADD 6-8 CURRY LEAVES
  3. ADD 5 CRUSHED GARLIC CLOVES, 1 GREEN CHILLI, SAUTE
  4. ADD 2 TSP RASAM POWDER, 1/4 TSP ASAFOETIDA
  5. MIX & ADD 1 CUP SALTED TAMARIND WATER
  6. ADD 1/4 TSP TURMERIC POWDER
  7. ADD 2 TBSP CHOPPED CORIANDER LEAVES, SIMMER
  8. AS IT COMES TO A BOIL, TAKE OFF HEAT
