Stuffed idlis

Ingredients to make Stuffed idlis

  • semolina 2 cups
  • 4 tablespoons sour curd
  • salt per taste
  • Fruit salt 1 sachet
  • 2 potatoes
  • Red chili powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • oil 2 tablespoons
  • mustard seeds 1 teaspoon
  • curry leaves 1 teaspopn

How to make Stuffed idlis

  1. Soak the semolina in curd and water
  2. Boil , peel and mashed potatoes
  3. Add salt , red chili powder and garam masala powder in potatoes
  4. Mix well
  5. Make small flat Tikkis of potatoes
  6. Now in semolina batter add salt and fruit salt
  7. Grease the idli stand Pour 1tablespoon batter
  8. Put 1 potato tikki
  9. Again pour 1 tablespoon batter over tikki
  10. Steam for 10 minutes
  11. Remove from the stand
  12. Make tadka of mustard seed and curry leaves in oil
  13. Pour over idlis
  14. Serve with chutney of your choice
