Healthy Oats Upma

Ingredients to make Healthy Oats Upma

  • Oats–250 gm
  • onions - 1 medium size
  • 1 tea spoon garlic paste
  • 1 tea spoon ginger paste
  • 1 tea spoon Cumin Seed (Jeera)
  • 1 tea spoon mustard, green chilly – 3-4
  • 1 tea spoon lemon juice,
  • ¼ tea spoon turmeric powder
  • 1 ½ table spoon refined ground nut oil,
  • 2 springs –green curry leaves
  • asafetida (hing) – 1 pinch
  • 1 ½ tea spoon or as per taste salt
  • water – as per required

How to make Healthy Oats Upma

  1. Grind the Oats coarsely from grinder and finely cut the onion and green chilly.
  2. Take a frying pan on moderate flames and refined oil.
  3. Heat oil then add mustard, cumin seed, curry leaves then add onion, cut green chili till golden brown.
  4. Then add ginger – garlic paste, turmeric powder and pinch of hing then add coarsely Oats, lemon juice, salt& water as per required mix it and cooked until soft.
  5. Serve hot Oats Upma to all.
