Dahi Chicken

Ingredients to make Dahi Chicken

  • Chicken 1/2 kg
  • Curd 1 cup
  • For the gravy:
  • Onions 3
  • Tomatoes 5
  • Garlic 1 whole
  • Green chillies

How to make Dahi Chicken

  1. First marinate the chicken by adding curd crushed garlic, salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder. Keep this for half an hour in the fridge.
  2. For the gravy: Take a wok, add oil, cumin seeds, bay leaves and then add ground onions. Saute it till it starts leaving oil.
  3. Add ground tomatoes and stir it.
  4. Add chicken with marinated curd all the liquid.
  5. Add salt, chilli powder, dhaniya powder, pepper powder and sugar for having balanced taste.
  6. Stir and cook the chicken on a low flame till it gets soft.
  7. Add fresh cream or malai. For adding taste, lastly add a pinch of garam masala and yellow butter. Serve hot.
