Dahi Chicken

Ingredients

  • 500 gms chicken (Boneless or with bone)
  • 250 gm Hung curd
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 green chillies
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 onion chopped
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 2 onion chopped
  • Chopped coriander 1 bunch

Steps

  1. Make a paste of 2 chillies.
  2. Marinate the chicken pieces with curd, chilli paste, ginger garlic paste, elaichi powder and salt. Keep it aside for a minimum of 2 hours.
  3. Heat up a pan, add butter, onion, 2 chillies and saute till onion becomes light pink.
  4. Add the chicken, cook for 2 minutes. Put the lid on and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. Open the lid and add a little water if you want some gravy.
  6. Serve hot with roti, paratha and naan.
My Tip: Do not fry the onions till brown, just slightly pink.
