About BEETROOT RICE MURUKKU Recipe

Rice flour combined with fried urad dhal powder is combined with beetroot puree, asafoetida, cummin seeds, oil and salt to taste. Mixed dough is pressed by using a single star nozzle. Thinking out of box brought this intresting recipe.

Ingredients to make BEETROOT RICE MURUKKU

  • Rice flour 1 cup
  • Fried urad dhal powder 1/4 cup
  • Beetroot 1 shredded and pureed with little water
  • Cummin seed 1 teaspoon
  • asafoetida powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • salt to taste
  • oil 1 ladle for mixing the murrukku dough
  • oil for frying

How to make BEETROOT RICE MURUKKU

  1. INGREDIENTS FOR BEETROOT RICE MURRUKKU
  2. GRIND SHREDDED BEETROOT IN A MIXER WITH LITTLE WATER.
  3. GROUND BEETROOT IS READY.
  4. MILLED RICE FLOUR AND FRIED URAD DHAL IS USED. ADD ASAFOETIDA, CUMIN SEEDS AND SALT TO TASTE.
  5. HEAT OIL IN A WOK. ADD ONE LADLE OF HOT OIL TO THE MURRUKKU MIXTURE.THIS MAKES MURRUKKU CRISPY.
  6. ADD GROUNDED BEETROOT PUREE TO THE MIXTURE.
  7. COMBINE EVERYTHING BY ADDING BEETROOT PUREE TO THE RIGHT CONSISTENCY.
  8. BEETROOT DOUGH IS READY.
  9. FILL THE MURRUKKU PRESS WITH THE DOUGH. SINGLE STAR NOZZLE IS USED FOR PRESSING MURRUKKU.
  10. OIL A PLATE AND PRESS DESIRED SHAPE.
  11. IT'S READY TO FRY.
  12. FRY ON MEDIUM FLAME TILL IT'S DONE.
  13. TRANSFER IT ON TO TISSUE PAPER.
  14. BEETROOT MURRUKKU IS READY WITH IT'S OWN VIBRANT COLOUR.
  15. LOVELY COLOUR ATTRACTS ALL.
