Keema stuffed pointed gourd (Patol)

Ingredients to make Keema stuffed pointed gourd (Patol)

  • 5 Big pointed gourd (Patol)
  • 200 gms miced chicken
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 boiled onion paste
  • 5 tbsp curd
  • 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 2 Onions fried (Beresta)
  • Some whole garam masala
  • 1 tbsp chilli powder
  • 2 green chillies
  • 2 tbsp fresh cream
  • 1 tsp corriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1/4 cup cashew nut paste
  • oil as required
  • Saffron to garnish

How to make Keema stuffed pointed gourd (Patol)

  1. Marinate chicken with curd, salt, cumin, coriander powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, chilli powder, ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp and keep aside for atleast 1/2 an hour.
  2. Take 3 tbsp oil in a pan, saute the onions then cook the chicken for 10 minutes. Keep aside.
  3. Take out seeds of the Gourd by a spoon and pan fry it in a little oil.
  4. Stuff the gourd with cooked chicken.
  5. Tak e a pan, add 3 to 4 tbsp oil. Add the whole garam masala and green chillies into it.
  6. After a few minutes add in the boiled onion paste and saute for 1 minute.
  7. Mix ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw flavour is gone.
  8. Mix yogurt and cashew paste. Saute for 3 minutes.
  9. Add a little water and then cover with the lid for it to come to a boil.
  10. Serve hot.

My Tip:

Keep in mind, onion's should not get browned.
