Jackfruit curry

Ingredients to make Jackfruit curry

  • Peeled and chopped jackruit in big chunks 1/2 kilogram
  • Finely chopped onion 1
  • onion paste 1 cup
  • tomato paste 2 cups
  • ginger garlic paste 2 teaspoons
  • oil 2 tablespoons
  • turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • red chilly powder 1 teaspoon
  • coriander powder 2 teaspoon
  • Hung curd 1/2 cup
  • Chopped coriander for garnishing
  • Kitchen king masala 1 teaspoon
  • salt to taste

How to make Jackfruit curry

  1. Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan and crackle jeera
  2. Add finely chopped onion and ginger garlic paste , sauté for a while
  3. Add jackfruit chunks , and sauté for next 5 minutes
  4. Add turmeric powder, red chilly powder coriander powder and garam masala powder and salt to taste
  5. Sauté jackfruit in spices
  6. Add hung curd, onion- tomato paste , mix well and let it cook covered on low heat
  7. Check and turn in between
  8. Cook till soft and tender
  9. Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot with naan ,roti or rice
