Mixed Berry Crumble

Ingredients to make Mixed Berry Crumble

  • 2 cups strawberries
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 tblsp sugar
  • For the crumble topping
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup butter

How to make Mixed Berry Crumble

  1. Wash and chop the strawberries roughly and keep in a bowl. Add blueberries, vanilla and 3 tblsp spoon sugar to it. Mix well and keep aside.
  2. In a separate bowl mix together the oats and flour. Add in the salt, cinnamon and sugar as well as the butter.
  3. Using your finger mash the butter into the oats mixture until it resembles coarse breadcrumbs.
  4. Layer the berries onto a baking dish. Top with oats and butter mixture. Bake for 40 minutes or until the topping is crisp and the berries are bubbling.
  5. Serve hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
