Ingredients to make Banoffee Pie

  • banana- 2 sliced
  • Dulche de leche (milkmaid tin immersed and boiled in cooker)- 1 tin
  • Whipped cream
  • Digestive biscuits- 150 gms
  • Melted butter-1 bowl
  • Choco chip-1 bowl for garnishing
  • Coco powder for garnishing
  • Dry fruits-1 bowl

How to make Banoffee Pie

  1. Take a cooker and add the milkmaid tin in it, then pour in water just above the milkmaid and keep it till 6 whistles blow. This is enough to make it as eclairs (dulche de leche).
  2. Crush the digestive biscuits properly, add butter and set aside.
  3. 1st layer: Meanwhile take a pudding tray and add the biscuits layer, press it gently with your hands or spoon and set it in the fridge for 10 mins.
  4. Remove the milkmaid tin from the cooker and let it cool, however do not run this under the tap to make it cool. Once it's cool, beat it in a blender add a little whipped cream in it and keep aside.
  5. 2nd layer: Take out a pudding tray and add the sliced bananas, spread it on all the sides and add the dry fruits, then add the milkmaid layer and set it in the fridge again for 10 mins.
  6. 3rd layer: Add the heavy whipped cream and add the chocochip coco powder and set it in the fridge till it sets properly and serve this chilled banofee pie and it is ready to eat.

My Tip:

You can try out any type of fruits and it tastes best when served with scoop of ice cream.
