ABOUT Chilled Masala Milk RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Milk 1.5 litre
  2. Sugar 1 cup to taste
  3. Few saffron strands
  4. Rose water 1/4 cup (for flavor)
  5. Ingredients to make the paste: Soaked overnight almond 1/4 cup
  6. Melon seeds 1/4 cup
  7. Cashewnut 1/4cup
  8. Pistachios 1/4 cup
  9. Poppy seeds 2 tbsp
  10. Ingredients for the powder: Green cardamom( pods)-10
  11. Black pepper- 10
  12. Cinnamon -1
  13. For Garnishing:
  14. Few pistachio flakes
  15. Few saffron strands

Instructions

  1. Boil milk in a heavy bottomed pan and add the sugar and saffron stands while the milk is boiling. Meanwhile, take a grinder jar and add the cardamom pods, cinnamon, poppy seeds and all the soaked nuts to make a paste.
  2. Then add the paste into the milk and mix properly till It dissolves well. After 4-5 mins, turn off heat, then add the rose water and keep the mixture to chill in the fridge.
  3. If you don't want it coarse, mix and strain before serving.
  4. Serve it chilled with pistachios and saffron strands.
