  • carrots shredded 1 1/2 kg
  • Milkmaid 1 cup
  • Fresh cream 3 tbsp
  • Mixed dry fruits slivered 1/2 cup (almonds and Cashews)
  • Full fat milk 1 litre
  • ghee 1/2 cup
  • cardamom powder 1 tsp
  • mawa 1/4th cup

How to make Gaajar Halwa Laddus......

  1. Add shredded carrots to a deep cooking pot along with the milk.
  2. Simmer it on a low flame for the first 10 minutes.
  3. Then increase the flame to medium high and continue cooking until the next 25 minutes.
  4. Keep stirring in between at regular intervals.
  5. After about 25 minutes of cooking, add condensed milk and cardamom powder.
  6. Stir in fresh cream and the dry fruits too.
  7. Saute it on a high heat with a continuous stirring after adding ghee.
  8. It becomes thick and ghee starts leaving the sides of the pot in a few more minutes.

  10. Add homemade mawa just before switching off the gas.
  11. Wait a bit until you can handle the heat and start shaping into medium sized laddus.
  12. Serve them right away or chill them in the refrigerator for an hour or two.
  13. Yummy delectable goodies made from gaajar halwa are ready to be 'DEVOURED'.
