Ingredients to make Homemade Tomato Ketchup from Scratch

  • Homemade Tomato paste- 100 gms
  • Brown sugar- 1/4 cup
  • Salt- 1 tbsp (please adjust as required)
  • Paprika powder/Kashmiri red chili powder- 1 tbsp
  • Black pepper powder- 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Yellow mustard powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Clove powder- 1/4 tsp
  • Cinnamon powder- 1/4 tsp
  • Whie wine vinegar- 5 tbsp
  • Water- 2/3 cup

How to make Homemade Tomato Ketchup from Scratch

  1. Sterilize a glass bottle with air tight lid, wipe it using a clean cloth until dry and keep aside.
  2. In a large bowl add all the ingredients and whisk it continuously. Keep whisking until all the sugar gets dissolved and forms a thick ketchup. Please reduce water if you prefer to have a thicker consistency of ketchup!
  3. Pour the ketchup into a sterilized dry bottle, for longer storage cover it air tight and store it in the fridge for about 3-4 weeks. For longer storage you can freeze it as well.
