About Barfi tart Recipe

Barfi tart

Ingredients to make Barfi tart

  • For the tart crust-
  • 120 butter
  • 60 grms caster sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 150 grms maida
  • For burfi filling-
  • 250 grm mava
  • sugar 1/3 cup
  • saffron soaked in 2tbsp milk

How to make Barfi tart

  1. For the tart - cream together butter and sugar then add in egg and whisk add in the flour and kneed into a sift dough
  2. Wrap in the cling and refrigerate fir half an hour
  3. Roll out the dough half inch thick and shape it in the tart mold punch the base with fork to make small holes and know bake at 180 degree until golden brown.
  4. For barfi filling- Take non stick pan add in mava then put in sugar mix well add in milk and saffron keep stirring continuesly until nice gooey and thick.
  5. Put the barfi filling in removed tart crust and let it set aside.
  6. Cut in triangles and serve.
