Italian Sauce with Noodles

Ingredients to make Italian Sauce with Noodles

  • 1 large sized onion - finely chopped
  • 4 large sized tomatoes- finely chopped
  • 8 cloves of garlic- crushed
  • 1 inch ginger- crushed
  • 1/2 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon black and green olives - finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup coriander, parsley and cilantro - finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon red dried crushed chilies
  • 1 teaspoon Himalayan pink salt
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Mozerella cheese for garnishing
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

How to make Italian Sauce with Noodles

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan. Once heated add onions and saute until they turn golden and translucent.
  2. Then add garlic- ginger and saute for a minute.
  3. Add the chopped tomatoes, Himalayan salt and normal salt and cook till the tomatoes turn soft and mushy.
  4. Simmer it for 5-6 minutes. The longer the better, if the tomatoes are sticking to the pan before turning into a sauce, just add a tablespoon or two of water.
  5. Now add the chopped olives, chopped herbs, chilies and oregano. Cook for a minute or two then turn off the heat.
  6. Garnish with mozzarella cheese and serve.

My Tip:

Toss this with boiled pasta or noodles or use as a dip with baguette. The addition of mushrooms will enhance the flavors.
