About Sooji Pulao Recipe

This is a quick and easy pulao, made with semolina.

Sooji Pulao

Ingredients to make Sooji Pulao

  • sooji 100 gms
  • ghee 1 tblspn
  • Onion, capsicum, Carrot (1 pc each)
  • peas and beans
  • potato 1 small
  • Chillie 2 pcs
  • mustard seeds 1/2 tspn
  • sugar 2 tspn
  • haldi 1/4 tspn
  • salt as per taste
  • coriander leaves to garnish

How to make Sooji Pulao

  1. Dry roast the sooji and keep aside
  2. Chop all the vegetables to very small pieces.
  3. Heat ghee and put the mustard seeds till they crackle
  4. Add slit green chillies
  5. Add the vegetables, salt, sugar and haldi
  6. Fry nicely. Sprinkle water so that they don't stick to the pan
  7. Add the roasted sooji and fry well
  8. Keep sprinkling little water and simmer on low flame
  9. Turn the mixture so that it gets evenly done
  10. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.

My Tip:

You can add cashew and raisins to it
