Lemon idiyappam

Ingredients to make Lemon idiyappam

  • Raw rice flour 2 cups
  • lemon 1 number
  • Grated coconut 1 cup
  • turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
  • green chillies 8 numbers
  • mustard seed 1 teaspoon
  • Urud dal 2 teaspoon
  • salt
  • curry leaves

How to make Lemon idiyappam

  1. Boil water and add to the flour mix well and knead to a soft dough. Salt should be mixed in the flour.
  2. With the sev maker make idiyappam and steam cook it.
  3. When cool scramble it.
  4. In a pan add oil, mustard seed and urud dal.
  5. Add split green chillies and curry leaves
  6. Add turmeric powder and lemon juice and immediately add the idiyappam
  7. Add coconut and required salt
  8. Remember we have added salt in the dough. So check the taste and add the salt
  9. Serve hot

My Tip:

While seasoning and mixing the flame should be low
