Ingredients to make Moong dal halwa

  • moong dal 1 cup
  • jaggery syrup 1 cup
  • Milk 2 cup
  • cashews 10
  • cardamom 3

How to make Moong dal halwa

  1. Wash the moong dal at 2 times
  2. In a kadai take a washed moong dal and fry for 8 mins
  3. After that add moong dal to a jar and make a nice powder
  4. In a heavy bottom kadai take 5tspn of ghee, add cashews,cardamom , let's fry for few seconds
  5. Then add moong dal powder
  6. Dry roast with ghee,add boiled milk, let's cook for 10 mins
  7. After that add Jaggery syrup, mix well
  8. Leave it for 5 mins
  9. Once we get a halwa consistency then switch off the flame
  10. Garnish with ghee, cashews
  11. Moong dal halwa ready
