Ingredients to make Simple Fish Fry

  • Fish fillets (cut in pieces) - 2
  • turmeric powder - 1 + 1/2 teaspoon
  • green chillies (chopped fine) - 1 or 2 teaspoon
  • garlic grated - 1tablespoon
  • ginger grated - 1teaspoon
  • cilantro leaves chopped fine - 2 tablespoon
  • oil for frying - 2 tablespoon
  • lime juice (at the time of serving) - 1 tablespoon
  • salt - to taste
  • onions sliced - as needed

How to make Simple Fish Fry

  1. Wash the fish fillets thoroughly and cut them in small sizable pieces.
  2. In a bowl mix turmeric powder, green chillies, garlic, ginger and salt thoroughly.
  3. Now smear this paste on both sides of the fish fillets; let it rest for about 10 minutes.
  4. Pour oil in the frying pan and let it be warm enough; now place the fish fillets.
  5. Allow it to be slightly brown and then flip it carefully without breaking it.
  6. Once both the sides are brown, place the same on a plate and squeeze some lime juice on it.
  7. Serve hot with some sliced onions. This can very well be had with steamed rice; dal or have it just like that :-)
