Bhendi tomato masala, a quick and easy side dish to be served with roti or rice.

Bhendi masala

Ingredients to make Bhendi masala

  • Ladies fingers 10
  • tomato 4
  • onion 1
  • green chillies - 2
  • chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • refined oil
  • salt

How to make Bhendi masala

  1. Cut the lady fingers into long pieces, deep fry them in hot oil and keep aside.
  2. Now in another pan, heat some oil. Add the chopped onion and saute until golden brown.
  3. Then add the chopped tomatoes, spices, green chillies, salt and cook until the tomatoes are cooked and the masala leaves oil.
  4. Then add water for the gravy and let this come to a boil. then add the fired bhindis, cook for sometime and serve hot.
