Ingredients to make Sago Kesariya (Sabudana kheer)

  • Sabudana (sago) washed & soaked - 1 cup
  • Milk - 1/ 2 kg
  • Sugar - 3/4 cup
  • Chopped nuts of your choice
  • Elaichi powder - 2 tbsp
  • Saffron - few strings

How to make Sago Kesariya (Sabudana kheer)

  1. Boil milk & put the soaked washed Sabudana. Cook till it gets tender & soft.
  2. Now add sugar and cook till all the water evaporates and milk reduces and becomes thick.
  3. Add chopped nuts & saffron strings and elaichi powder, cook till everything is incorporated well.
  4. Serve in a bowl and garnish with chopped nuts and saffron strings.
My Tip: Saffron strings add tasty aroma and flavour to the kheer.
