About Macaroni Alfredo Recipe

Macaroni with vegetables cooked in cheese sauce. Tastes even better if grilled till golden brown.

Macaroni Alfredo

Ingredients to make Macaroni Alfredo

  • Uncooked macaroni 1 cup
  • mushrooms - sliced 100 gm
  • Baby corns- sliced 50-100gm (optional)
  • butter 2 tablespoon
  • Oregano 1 teaspoon
  • Onion or spring onions- chopped along with green parts 1 or 2
  • maida 2 1/2 tablespoon
  • Milk 1 3/4 cups
  • salt 3/4 teaspoon or to taste
  • pepper 1/2 teaspoon
  • red chilli flakes 1/2 teaspoon
  • Mozrella cheese 100 gm
  • cream 1/4 cup
  • Some tomato slices and chopped parsely

How to make Macaroni Alfredo

  1. Put 1 1/2 cups of water and 1 teaspoon oil in a deep microproof bowl. Microwave uncovered for 3 minutes.
  2. Add macroni. Mix. Microwave uncovered for 5 minutes. Let it stand in hot water for 4-5 minutes. Drain and wash well with cold water.
  3. In another microproof flatfish, microwave butter for 30 seconds.
  4. Add oregano, spring onions, mushrooms and baby corns-. Microwave uncovered for 5 minutes.
  5. Add maida. Mix well and microwave uncovered for 30 seconds.
  6. Add milk, salt, pepper and chilli flakes. Mix and microwave uncovered for 6 minutes, stirring once between. Microwave for 1-2 minutes more if the sauce doesn't turn thick.
  7. Add macroni, cream and 1/2 of grated mozrella cheese. Mix well. Arrange tomato, coriander and the left over grated cheese.
  8. At serving time microwave uncovered for 2 minutes. Serve.
