Ingredients to make Puri kizhangu

  • potato 4 numbers
  • onion 2 numbers
  • green chilly 6 numbers
  • coriander leaves
  • chana dal 1 tablespoon
  • urad dal 1 teaspoon
  • mustard seed 1 teaspoon
  • curry leaves
  • ginger garlic paste 1 tablespoon
  • For ajwain puri
  • wheat flour 1 cup
  • Ajwain 1 tablespoon
  • salt
  • oil 1 tablespoon

How to make Puri kizhangu

  1. COOK POTATOES WELL PEEL AND MASH
  2. IN A KADAI ADD OIL URAD DAL MUSTARD SEED AND CHANA DAL
  3. ADD SLICED ONION AND CURRY LEAVES, GINGER GARLIC PASTE AND SAUTE
  4. ADD TURMERIC POWDER AND SAUTE TILL TRANSLUCENT
  5. ADD SPLIT GREEN CHILLY
  6. ADD SALT AND MASHED POTATOES
  7. ADD WATER AND COOK COVERED
  8. MASH BIG PIECES OF POTATOES IF ANY
  9. SPRINKLE CHOPPED CORIANDER LEAVES
  10. FOR PURI ADD WHEAT FLOUR AJWAIN AND SALT ANKLE KNEAD TO A THICK DOUGH
  11. MAKE PURIS
  12. AND DEEP FRY IT
