About Chicken curry. Recipe

A simple kerala style chicken curry , goes well with rice & rotis.

Chicken curry.

Ingredients to make Chicken curry.

  • chicken 1/2 kg. Cut into pieces.
  • lemon juice 2 tsp
  • ginger garlic paste 1tbsp
  • onion 2 big sliced
  • green chillies 3
  • tomato 2 big chopped
  • ginger & garlic chopped 1 tbsp
  • coriander seeds 1 tsp.
  • coriander powder 3 tbsp
  • chilli Powder 2 tbsp
  • pepper 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala 1 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • salt
  • oil 4 tbsp
  • curry leaves

How to make Chicken curry.

  1. Marinate chicken pieces with coriander, Chilli, turmeric & pepper powders, garam masala , salt, ginger garlic paste & lemon juice .keep aside for 1 hr.
  2. Heat a kadai with oil. Put ginger garlic chopped & coriander seeds & curry leaves. Fry well.
  3. Then add onion & green chillies. Fry till onions s r soft.
  4. Then add tomatoes. Let it simmer for a few seconds.
  5. Then add marinated chicken .stir well for about 5 min.
  6. Add enough water to cook chicken. Cover & cook on medium flame.
  7. Remove when chicken is well cooked & gravy s a little thick.
  8. Serve hot with rice or rotis.
