How to make Falhari Platter of Sabudana Khichdi/ Kheera Raita/ Kuttu Ka Halwa

  1. To prepare the sabudana khichdi, soak the sabudana in an open vessel for at least 6 hours minimum. The water should be so,that it covers the sabudana but not over them.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add the jeera and diced potatoes. Roast the potatoes until they become reddish brown and crisp.
  3. In the soaked sabudana, add salt ,sugar and lime juice, mix it well. Now into the potatoes add salt and mix well. Then add peanuts and cook nicely on a low heat.
  4. The potatoes should be roasted on a high-medium flame. Now add sabudana to the potatoes and mix well. Cover and cook for 5-7 mins.
  5. Now uncover and add the chopped coriander. It is ready to be served.
  6. To prepare the kheera raita, mix all the listed ingredients together and the raita is ready.
  7. Next to make the kuttu halwa, heat ghee in a pan and add the kuttu atta, roast on a low heat while stirring continously so that it doesn't burn.
  8. When it becomes brown then add water, mix well and then add sugar. Mix well stirring continuously until the ghee comes out. The halwa is ready.
  9. Serve all these dishes together in a platter.

My Tip:

Use sendha namak in the recipes.
