ABOUT Khirasaku RECIPE

Today I have uploaded a sweet dish for you, this one is the first sweet dish I learnt after my marriage calling my mom 2-3 times. You can call it Odissa Cake as well. For your friends birthday you can prepare this cake and give a sweet surprise, infact I myself prepared this one on my birthday, my friends tasted it and liked it so much.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1/2 cup rice
  2. 1/2 cup sugar
  3. 2 cups milk
  4. 2 tbsp chopped dry fruits
  5. Ghee to coat the frying pan

Instructions

  1. Soak the rice for 3 hours. Grind this to a smooth paste by adding little water.
  2. Now boil the milk, when it starts boiling add the sugar and chopped dry fruits.
  3. Pour the rice batter into this and stir it simultaneously. Stir it so that it will become a sticky dough like consistency.
  4. Now coat a frying pan with little ghee and set the dough on it.
  5. Cover the frying pan and cook it on a low flame for 20 mins.
  6. When the saku (cake) turns golden brown color from the edges, it's almost done.
  7. Let it cool down by turning it upside down on a plate.
  8. Your sweet dish is ready! Try some different sweet this time.
