About Beetroot Cutlet (Must Try) Recipe

A cutlet that is crispy from outside and moist from the inside.

Beetroot Cutlet (Must Try)

Ingredients to make Beetroot Cutlet (Must Try)

  • 1 beetroot
  • 4 medium sized potatoes
  • 1/2 cup sweet corns, boiled
  • 1/4 cup poha
  • 2 brown bread slices
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp amchur powder
  • 1 small green chilli
  • 2 tbsp cornflour
  • salt as per taste
  • For the coating:
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs or oats powder
  • 1 tbsp cornflour or maida
  • oil for frying
  • Chaat masala to sprinkle

How to make Beetroot Cutlet (Must Try)

  1. Wash, peel and cut the beetroot, then along with the potatoes cook it in the pressure cooker till 4 whistles blow.
  2. Let it cool, then peel the potato skins. Cut the potatoes to pieces.
  3. Take a mixer jar, put in the potatoes, beetroot, sweet corns, salt, chilli, garam masala, amchur powder and bread.
  4. Wash the poha in a strainer under tap water to get it a little moist and add it in the mixer. Grind it well. Then take it out and add cornflour.
  5. Apply some oil on your hands and shape them into cutlets. Then roll them on the oats powder or bread crumbs, cornflour or maida.
  6. Deep fry or shallow fry them, as desired.
  7. As soon as you take them out, sprinkle the chaat masala on top.
  8. Serve them hot with tomato ketchup or mint chutney.
