Hi latha...make sweet potato ( shakarkand)chaat. Wash them properly and pile them on a hot tawa and cover with a big bowl to roast. Keep the flame on low and keep them turning in every 5 minutes. When they become soft peel and dice them. Now add salt pepper, chat masala and tamarind chutney or lemon juice. It&#39;s very delicious.
You can also make sweet dish. Just peel them and cut into roundles. In a wok heat 2 tbsp ghee and add sweet potatoes. Cover in cook on sim till soft. Add sugar generously and cook for 2 to 3 minutes more till sugar dissolves.

U can also prepare a slightly spicy dish of sweet potatoes.. Or sweet potato bajji
Not gravy type.. For snacks.. Grate the sweet potato. In a kadhai add ghee, mustard, jeera, curry leaves , chopped green chillies. When chillies start to splitter, add roasted groundnuts if u like. Add grated sweet potatoes, salt as per taste. Mix it properly. Add more ghee if needed. Let it steam for a couple of minutes. Serve hot.
Hi boil sweet potato pile & slice the sweet potato in round pieces then sallow fry the sweet potato rings in butter or oil and turn the side once golden brown and grate chesse & srincle salt black pepper and a drop of lime juice remove from pan once golden brown on other side simlpe but very taste if you have green chutni then u can apply and then add chesse no need to add salt then

Hey Latha, my friend gave me this recipe. She said it tastes good. I have never tried it though.. Recipe: - wash & peel the sweet potatoes. Cut them into slices. Soak it in the water. In a kadhai add our, mustard, jeera, curry leaves, green chillies. When they start to splitter, add thinly sliced onions. Saute it till the color of onions change. Then add sweet potatoes, turmeric, red chilly powder(optional), grated coconut & salt as per taste. Mix it properly. Add water to it. Mix properly. Let it cook for a couple of minutes. Add more water if needed. Add chopped coriander n serve hot.

Welcome dear. If you are preparing for adults no need to blend daal and eweet potato. Just add all masala after sautéing tomato. Add water , let it boil and than add daal sweet potato and adjust salt. No need to over cook vege.
Sure kaajal,i followed ur recipe. My son took it with mayonnaise. He likes all those fried items with mayo. He liked it so much. It was yummy.
One more sweet dear @Latha . Boil , mash and cook with milk in a nonstick pan. Add ghee ( clarified butter) and adjust sugar. Add grated coconut too. Add Cardemom powder. Your Halwa is ready to serve.
