Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 cup urad dal
  2. 1 tesp raw rice
  3. 1" ginger piece grated
  4. 2 GREEN CHILLI CHOPPED
  5. 1/4 tesp asafodita
  6. 1/4 tesp bkso
  7. Salt as per taste.
  8. 1 finly sliced onion
  9. Few curry leaves chopped
  10. 1 1/2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  11. 1 to 2 tbsp water to grind
  12. Oil to shallow fry

Instructions

  1. Soak urad dal and rice over night.
  2. Drain and grind to a fine paste adding ginger, asafodita and salt.Use water if required.
  3. Remove add soda, coriander,curry leaf, green chilli and onion,mix well.
  4. Heat oil In a kadai,Shape vadai placing a little batter on your wet palm.Like a doughnut,
  5. Slide the batter into the oil ,fry till golden brown on both sides.Remove place on tissue paper to remove excess oil.Ulandu vadai is ready, Serve with white chutney or sambar.
