ABOUT Tuna Fish Kebab/Cutlet RECIPE

I landed with a bowl of oven baked tuna fillets from my previous experiment. But somehow could not relish, as it felt a bit too dry and meaty. I was hopeful tuna will get transformed soon, hence was on lookout for interesting ingredients. While discussing with one of my foodie friend, we came up with the idea of Tuna kebabs. The kebabs were ready in no time - Hubby relished each bite.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Cooked Tuna fillet - 300 grams
  2. onion - 1
  3. Ginger garlic paste - a little
  4. Chilly flakes - a few
  5. Bread slice - 1
  6. Cheese - 1/2cup
  7. Cumin powder - 1/4th tspn
  8. Chilly powder - 1/4th tspn
  9. Egg - 2
  10. Coriander leaves - few
  11. Mixed herbs - few pinches
  12. Cooked rice - 1 cup
  13. Bread crumbs - as required
  14. Fresh Corn kernels - 1/4th cup
  15. Salt - according to taste.

Instructions

  1. Shred the tuna fillets and set aside.
  2. Chop onion to fine slices and fry in little oil till translucent. Add little ginger garlic paste and saute for a minute. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl combine cheese, cooked rice, one egg, fried onion, bread slice, shredded tuna, corn, finely chopped coriander leaves, chilly flakes, mixed herb, chilly powder, cumin powder and salt.
  4. Mix well and make patties, place them in fridge for 15 minutes.
  5. Whisk one egg throughly in a bowl. Place the bread crumbs in a wide plate. Coat each patty in egg thoroughly, bind with bread crumbs. Repeat for the rest.
  6. Deep fry the patties to golden brown colour. Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot with dip/chutney of your choice.
