Moringa with Mung

Ingredients to make Moringa with Mung

  • Fresh Moringa Leaves 4 cup
  • Green whole Mung/Green moong dal 1/2 cup
  • Fresh grated coconut 1 cup
  • 1 small onion
  • Dry Red Chili 3
  • garlic Cloves 8
  • salt per taste
  • oil 1 teaspoon
  • sugar 1 teaspoon
  • water

How to make Moringa with Mung

  1. Soak Mung in 1 cup water for at least 2 hours. Cook in 1/2 cup of water till they are soft and just done. By this time water must have evaporated. Add moringa leaves and sprinkle sugar on top. Cook open for another 2 minutes. Turn off the flame.
  2. In another pan heat oil. Add chopped onion and fry till they are light brown. Add crushed red chilli and crushed garlic. Saute for a minute.
  3. Add Moringa and mung mixture to it. Add salt and cook for a minute. Add fresh grated coconut and cook for another 2 minutes. Serve hot as a side dish.
