About Stuffed Idli Recipe

Idli with paneer and cheese stuffing.

Stuffed Idli

Ingredients to make Stuffed Idli

  • 1/2 kg Idli batter
  • paneer 100 gms
  • red chilli to taste
  • salt to taste
  • Cheese grated
  • Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Green chilli as per taste
  • Black pepper as per taste
  • coriander and grated coconut for garnishing
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • coriander Powder 1 1/2 tsp

How to make Stuffed Idli

  1. Take batter and mix some salt in it.
  2. For the filling:
  3. Take 1/2 tablespoon oil and heat it. Add curry leaves and mustard seeds. Add paneer in it while keeping the gas on a low flame.
  4. Add grated coconut, garam masala, salt, red chili powder and coriander powder.
  5. Stir it and and turn off the flame, add cheese. Make small tikkis.
  6. Pour less idli batter in a idli maker and then keep the tikkis on that. Cover with rest of the batter.
  7. Cook it for 10 minutes on a high flame.
  8. For tadka: Heat oil, add mustard seeds, curry leaves and add the idlis. Fry for a few minutes.
  9. Garnish with coconut and coriander. Serve with chana dal chutney.
