  • 1 large flower
  • 1cup chenna dal soaked and drained
  • Red chilly6 nos
  • salt to taste
  • Asafetida1/2tsp
  • curry leaves

How to make Vazhai poo vadai/banana flower vadai

  1. Remove flowers from behindthe covering .dip your palm in thin butter milk and rub the tip of the flower and remove the strong headed stamen hidden in. Then cut the flower into small peices.
  2. Cook this untill tender with little turmeric and salt . Drain the water and set it aside
  3. Now grind the chenna dal red chilly salt hing together coarsely as for vada
  4. Add the boiled banana flower curryleaf .mix well .
  5. Make medium size vadas and fry until golden brown .
