Tomato tawa pulav

Ingredients to make Tomato tawa pulav

  • 3 cups basmati rice
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 capsicums, chopped
  • 1 cup green peas
  • 1 cup paneer cubes
  • 2 cup tomatoes, 7-8 garlic puri
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp pav bhaji masala
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 green chillies, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 /2 tsp haldi
  • Salt to taste
  • 3-4 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Fresh coriander 1/2 cup

How to make Tomato tawa pulav

  1. First boil the rice with 1 tsp of lemon juice and salt. (Note to not overcook the rice)
  2. Take a tawa, heat oil in it and add the ginger-garlic paste, saute then add the onion. Sauté the onion, add capsicum and saute then add the paneer and sauté once again. Next, add tomatoes and sauté it for 2 mins, now add the pav bhaji masala.
  3. Sauté and add the red chilli powder, haldi, garam masala powder. Cook it for 2 mins and add the tomatoes puri. Stir it continuously till this mixture leaves the oil.
  4. Add the boiled rice and mix it properly with salt.
  5. Steam it for 5-10 mins and serve it hot.

My Tip:

Do not overcook the rice otherwise it will become sticky.
