Ingredients to make Masala taro root ( arbi )

  • Taro root ( arbi )
  • garlic 20 cloves
  • ginger 2 inch piece
  • onion 4 medium
  • tomato 3 medium
  • salt to taste
  • red chilli powder 2/3 tsp
  • Termeric powder 2/3 tsp
  • Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  • coriander leaves for garnish
  • A pinch hing
  • lemon 1/2
  • Green chilli 2-3
  • oil 4 tbsp

How to make Masala taro root ( arbi )

  1. Peel off arbi and cut into slices. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a non stick pan and shallow fry the arbi.
  2. Onion, ginger, garlic, tomatoes,green chilli, put in a blender and make a smooth paste .
  3. In a pan heat remaining oil and add the masala paste. Cook for 5 minutes .
  4. Add dry spices and cook till oil separates.
  5. Add arbi and mix 1/2 cup water cover and cook on low heat to let arbi Absorb the aroma of masalas
  6. Add 1/2 lime juice, and garnish with coriander leaves .

My Tip:

Use olive oil to my recipes as it is more healthy.
