Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 350 gms - Roasted sevai
  2. 700 ml water
  3. 1 chopped onion
  4. 1 chopped tomato
  5. 1 green chilli
  6. 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  7. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  8. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  9. 1 tbsp curd
  10. few curry leaves
  11. 2 tbsp grated carrots
  12. 2 tbsp Oil
  13. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  14. 1/4 tsp coriander powder
  15. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  16. 1/4 tsp garam masala powder
  17. 1 tsp sugar
  18. Salt to taste
  19. 2 tbsp coriander leaves
  20. 1/2 Lemon juice
  21. 1 tsp ghee

Instructions

  1. Heat oil, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, green chilli, curry leaves and onions. Fry till onions turn brown.
  2. Add grated carrots and stir for 30 seconds
  3. Add ginger garlic paste and fry till raw smell is gone
  4. Add the tomato and cook till they turn mushy
  5. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, chilli powder, garam masala powder and curd. Fry for a minute
  6. Add water and bring to boil
  7. Add the coriander leaves, salt and sugar, lemon juice and roasted sevai.
  8. Mix well and cook on high flame for two minutes until the water evaporates
  9. Now cover the pan, turn the flame to low and cook for 5 minutes and turn off the flame. Add ghee and cover the pan. Let it rest for 2 minutes.
  10. Mix well and serve it hot with pickle or chutney or raita or tomato sauce
