About Dahi bade Recipe

Everyone loves dahi bade, so this is how I make them at home.

Dahi bade

Ingredients to make Dahi bade

  • urad dal 2 cup
  • 1/4 cup moong dal
  • 1 piece ginger
  • 2 green chillies
  • imli chutney - 2 tsp [ready made]
  • roasted jeera powder - 1 tsp
  • Black pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped coriander leaves [handful]
  • salt as per taste
  • Red chili powder - 1/2 tsp
  • curd - 1 cup

How to make Dahi bade

  1. Grind urad dal, moong dal, hing ginger & green chilly to form a thick batter.
  2. In the batter add salt and whisk a bit. Heat ample amount of oil in a wok, put small dumplings of the batter and fry the pakode, until golden brown.
  3. Now whisk the curd with salt, sugar. mix the pakodes in the batter, serve in the serving platter. Sprinkle jeera powder, red chilly powder, black pepper powder, imli chutney and generous amount of coriander leaves.
