Ingredients to make Khajoor Cake

  • all purpose flour (Maida) - 1cup
  • Dates (khajoor) - 20Pcs (Seedless)
  • milk - 1cup
  • sugar Powder - 1/2cup
  • butter - 1/2cup
  • baking soda - 1tsp (Plz don't use Baking Powder)
  • walnut - 5-6tbl spn

How to make Khajoor Cake

  1. Soak the dates in warm milk for 3-4 hours or you can even microwave them for 2 mins so that dates become soft which helps in grinding. Grind the soaked dates along with milk. Pour into a wide mixing bowl.
  2. Add sugar, all purpose flour, butter, baking soda, walnuts and mix slowly. Mix well for 4-5mins.
  3. Preheat the oven at 350F. Grease the baking cake pan and pour the batter into it. Bake in a pre-heated oven (350 degrees F) for 35 minutes in the center/lower shelf or rack of the oven.
  4. Once done, take the cake out from oven and allow it to stand for 5 minutes.

My Tip:

do not use ‘baking powder’ cake becomes a bit harder.
