Ingredients to make Roah(cane juice) kheer

  • Cane juice - 3 litres
  • Milk- 1 glass
  • Raw rice - 1/2 glass
  • Fennel seeds - 1tbsp
  • Peanuts - 1 katori
  • Dry coconut - thinly sliced

How to make Roah(cane juice) kheer

  1. Pour cane juice into a big pan and keep it on high flame .
  2. Let it come to a boil then add milk to it . Milk is added to remove the dirt from cane juice .
  3. You will see froth appearing on the surface . Remove it with a ladle and throw it away .
  4. Keep doing so till the froth stops forming .
  5. Once done you will see that the colour of cane juice becomes light . Now it is cleaned .
  6. Add riceto it now along with fennel seeds and cook on medium flame .
  7. When the rice is half cooked add peanuts and coconut to it .
  8. Now cook till you get a kheer like comsistency .
  9. Put the gas off . Let it cool n then serve .

My Tip:

This kheer is basically too sweet . To balance the sweetness you may add lil curd to it while serving ,
